Actress Shiny Sarah has lodged a shocking complaint, alleging that she was scammed with the false promise of playing the role of Rajinikanth's wife in a Tamil film. Known for her debut in ' Maheshinte Prathikaaram', Shiny Sarah stated that an individual tried to deceive her by claiming that paying Rs 12,500 for an artist card would secure her a role as Rajinikanth's wife in Kollywood. She revealed the details of this fraudulent experience in a video shared on her friend and actress Mala Parvathy 's social media page. Initially believing the offer to be genuine, she grew suspicious when money was demanded.
Shiny Sarah narrated that she received a WhatsApp message claiming her application had been accepted for a role in ' Jailer ' 2 as the wife of Rajinikanth's on-screen son. They inquired about her artist card, and when she mentioned that such cards were not available in Malayalam, she was told arrangements would be made. Later, she received a video call invitation from an individual named Suresh Kumar. During the call, Suresh introduced himself and claimed she was selected to play Rajinikanth's wife. When Shiny Sarah questioned the casting, knowing Ramya Krishnan already played that role, he stated it was for another project. He asked her to submit her artist card application, Aadhaar details, and photographs via email.
Shiny Sarah became doubtful when Suresh insisted on an immediate payment for the artist card. “I mentioned it would take me two days to arrange the full amount, but he pressured me to pay an initial installment right away, which made me suspicious,” she said.
Attempting to verify the situation, Shiny Sarah reached out to actresses Mala Parvathy and Lijomol Jose but was unable to contact them. When she consulted another industry artist, they confirmed that an artist card wasn't mandatory for securing roles. Shiny Sarah emphasized, "Many may have fallen victim to such scams. People should stay vigilant." Mala Parvathy also urged caution regarding calls from the number 7535801976.
