Aamir Khan is set to celebrate his 60th birthday tomorrow (March 14), and the actor recently had a special meeting with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan at his residence in Mumbai ahead of his birthday bash. Now, new reports suggest that the actor’s much-awaited movie ' Sitaare Zameen Par ' will hit cinemas in June this year.
According to Pinkvilla, Aamir is gearing up for his much-anticipated film, 'Sitaare Zameen Par', directed by RS Prasanna, which is set for release in June. An insider close to the project revealed that the actor has been passionately working on the film for the past year, and the editing process is nearly complete. It was also claimed that the 3 Idiots actor is supremely confident about the movie’s reception among fans and audiences.

As per sources, the promotional campaign for the film is scheduled to kick off during the IPL season, with the official release date likely to be announced on his 60th birthday.
Aamir will reportedly play the role of a coach struggling with alcoholism in the movie. His character takes on the challenge of training a team of specially-abled children for the Paralympics . The film also features Genelia Deshmukh in a significant role.


Meanwhile, the teaser and trailer for 'Sitaare Zameen Par' are currently in the making. “He wants to get the communication right. The film has a lot of humour, complemented by drama and emotions, and the idea is to convey that effectively through the pre-release assets,” the source added.
On the work front, Aamir is set to proceed with his dream project centred around the epic Mahabharat, and there are rumours about him making a cameo appearance in the Rajinikanth-starrer 'Coolie'.
