In season three of Prime Video’s ReacherAlan Ritchson as Jack Reacher meets his toughest foe in Olivier Richters’ Paulie. Based on Lee Child’s Persuadeseason three premiered on Prime Video on February 20.
Crediting Ritchson for helping him in the casting process, Richters said, “Alan played a significant role in this process; he mentioned that he found me, possibly on Reddit or from an Instagram video. He suggested to the casting team, ‘If you need a big guy, consider Olivier.’ I owe a lot to Alan for giving that tip, as it was a key reason I got the casting opportunity.”
In his first meeting with Ritchson, Richters added, “The first time we met was during stunt training for an arm wrestling scene. We were both checking each other out, sizing up, but we hit it off right away with a handshake and a nice conversation. I was really impressed by Alan, given how he managed to keep such an impressive physique while balancing scripts, diet, and three kids. He was great at offering helpful tips for my performance, like how to react authentically when someone falls out of a truck. He didn’t have to do that, but it made my acting feel more realistic. I truly appreciated his professionalism and support on set.”
Season three of the series stars Alan Ritchson, Maria Sten, Sonya Cassidy, Johnny Berchtold, Roberto Montesinos, Brian Tee, and Anthony Michael Hall alongside Richters.
Reacher is written by Nick Santora, who also serves as the executive producer and showrunner. In addition to Santora and Child, Ritchson serves as an executive producer, along with Don Granger, Scott Sullivan, Mick Betancourt, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell. Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and Paramount Television Studios produce Reacher. The series is directed by Sam Hill and Gary Fleder.
