Fans who tuned into The One Show were left gobsmacked as Hollywood legend Robert De Niro graced the iconic green sofa.
Presenters Alex Jones and Clara Amfo were back for another jam-packed instalment on Thursday night (March 13), along with a number of star-studded guests.
Joining them on the weekly evening show were actress Debra Messing, Stephen Graham and Owen Cooper but actor Robert appeared to leave viewers at home stunned as many questioned how the were able to book the iconic movie star.

Heading over to X formerly known as , one viewer said: "What the hell, Robert D’Niro on the one show. What is happening!!"
Another echoed: "Wonder how much they are paying Robert Di Niro for this 10 minute appearance." A third gasped: "What a geezer one of the greatest WOW!!"
While a fourth also shared: "Up their game tonight with Robert DeNiro & Debra Messing."
However, as the programme went on, some fans claimed that the actor didn't want to be there. Viewers also commented on Robert's monotone portrayal when asked to give advice to rising actor Owen on his career.
Sharing his words of wisdom, Robert said: "Well, I think he's off to a good start, that's the main thing.
"And just to keep at it. Keep at it! Do...I mean he's there. Now it's common sense, what to do, what not to do. Try to stay out of trouble and all that stuff and you'll do well. You'll do well!"
After witnessing that things were as bubbly as usual in the studio, fans shared their opinions online.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan penned: "What’s wrong with Robert de Niro he looks so confused #TheOneShow."
Another added: "#TheOneShow God that was awkward." A third person said: "Bobby seems engaged………..Not!! #theoneshow"
A fourth viewer shared: "Had to pause Robert De’Niro giving career advice so I can fast forward it, awkward as s**t."
Robert and actress Debra appeared on the BBC show to promote their new movie The Alto Knights. The film focuses on notorious New York crime bosses Frank Costello and Vito Genovese who compete for control of the city streets.
