Bargain Hunt witnessed one of its most cringe-worthy moments to date when it recorded the 'biggest loss in show history' during its 25th-anniversary episode. Breakfast stars and stepped up to the (antique) plate for a special edition of the long-running programme.
At the helm was John Watson, with the duo receiving guidance from Bargain Hunt's veteran expert Tim Weeks as they scoured for hidden gems. Jon's haul featured a £129 retro Dinky Toy car and a £40 tea caddy set, while Sally showcased her knack for nabbing bargains with a £19 coffee grinder and a hefty teapot celebrating the Queen's Golden Jubilee, snagged for just £5, reports .
The moment of truth arrived, and John asked the pair: "How are you both feeling?" Sally replied: "Nervous, definitely nervous." Jon added with a chuckle: "I'm exhausted. It's tiring stuff."

The atmosphere lightened with laughter as John disclosed: "Well I can now reveal the results. Sally you turned a profit of £51, which makes you the Bargain Hunt winner."
Sally, 53, stunned by her victory, gasped: "What? No!" She then turned to Jon, 55, with a regretful: "Oh John, I'm sorry."
However, before former Celebrity Mastermind winner John could dwell on his losses from the toy car and tea caddy, he mockingly gestured to exit the stage, quipping: "Okay, good to see you all. Thank you, I'm off."
John acknowledged: "A loss I'm afraid to say of £104, which gives me the great honour Sally to award you with your £51 profit, which I know we are going to be giving to charity."
He turned to Tim and said: "You did say to yourself that actually this is the biggest loss you have ever seen in Bargain Hunt history."
Tim then explained: "Normally the contestants have to buy three items so I'm glad it was just two because it could've been a record the way you were going."
