Father Brown season 12 is nearing its end with fans eager to find out who are the guest stars in episode 10, The Blessing of the Father.

viewers have been waiting for the wedding of Mrs Devine (played by Claudie Blakley) and Ch Insp Edgar Sullivan (Tom Chambers) since their romantic engagement in the series 11 finale.

Despite the upcoming nuptials, there is still an attempted murder that Father Brown (Mark Williams) has to contend with.

Glamorous and bored socialite Lady Felicia Montague will be on hand to help with Mrs Devine’s wedding preparations, although they don’t always see eye-to-eye.

Actress Nancy Carroll has been in Father Brown since the first series but has taken on a lesser role since season five, showing up in a few episodes every outing.

Apart from the BBC cosy crime drama, Carroll has had roles in The Marlowe Sessions, The Diplomat, Dalgliesh, Murder in Provence and The Crown as Anne Tennant.

Returning as Edgar’s overly critical dad and former deputy police commissioner Walter Sullivan is actor Denis Lawson.

In the build-up to his son’s big day, he is expected to cause problems for the happy couple.

Scottish star Lawson is remembered for playing John Jamdyce in the series Bleak House, as well as Wedge Antilles in the original trilogy.

In more recent years, however, Lawson had been behind Tom Campbell-Gore in BBC’s Holby City from 2002 to 2019.

On Walter’s arm is his wife and Edgar’s mum Grace who doesn’t have the closest relationship with her other half.

Grace is played by actress Cherie Lunghi who was Gabrielle Benson in The Manageress, Jetti in Strauss Dynasty, Sarah Bateman in Moloney, Cleo Steyn in The Brief and Stephanie in Billie Piper’s Secret Diary of a Call Girl.

Thought to be her biggest international role during her career so far is as Guenevere in the 1981 film Excalibur with Helen Mirren and Liam Neeson.

Working as the wedding’s florist is Irene Frost who is on hand when Mrs Devine continues to get stressed about what their big day is going to look like.

Irene is played by actress Michelle Bonnard who will be recognised as Sal in ’s Unforgotten, as well as brothel madam Sylvi in HBO’s House of the Dragon.

Some of her other parts have been in Blindspot, Insomnia and We Hunt Together.

Returning as Mrs Devine’s son Eddie Devine who was first introduced in season 11, is actor Barney Wilkinson.

He is a relative newcomer in the TV industry, with just a handful of projects listed on his IMDb page including Casualty, Grantchester and .

Away from the small screen, Wilkinson has done some theatre work, starring in Stranger Things: The First Shadow at Phoenix Theatre and Into The Woods at Theatre Royal Bath.
