The delivery of Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9E is going to start soon. The company had earlier announced that it was planning to start delivery of both electric vehicles by mid -March 2025. Electric cars were launched in November 2024. The company had earlier told that it had received more than 30,000 bookings on the first day of the booking started. Mahindra had collected ₹ 8472 crore on the first day through booking. The price of BE6 ranges from 18.90 lakh to 26.90 lakh rupees on the basis of variants, while the price of XEV 9 is between 21.90 to 30.50 lakh rupees. Both prices are an ex -showroom.
Interestingly, in the first phase i.e. in March, the company is planning to deliver only the top spec version of both electric SUV-pack three. Meanwhile, delivery of both SUVs pack three select variants will start from June 2025, followed by delivery of e-SUV's Pack Two variants in July 2025. The delivery of the variants above the Pack One and BE 6 of the BE 6 and XEV 9E and the Pack One of BE 6 will start from August.
Mahindra BE 6 has two screen setups. The size of both is 12.3 inches, one of which is an infotainment screen and the other is the instrument cluster. Interestingly, these displays are placed on the dashboard in floating style. It also has two-spoke steering wheels, illuminated people and big sunroof. There are 16-Spicker audio systems, automatic parking function, Adas suit and other facilities fitted in the 360-degree camera SUV.
The triple screen setup is seen in Mahindra XEV 9E. It has a three 12.3 -inch screen running from Mahindra's adrenox software, where the touchscreen infotainment system and driver display is one. The twin-spoke multi-function for this SUV is a Mahindra logo on the steering wheel. Some other features include a wireless smartphone charger, a 16-speaker audio system, panoramic sunroof, parking assist and Adas.
The features and designs of XEV 9E and BE 6 are different, but the powertrain between the two is the same. Both trains have two different battery pack options, one of which is 59 kwh and the other 79 kWh unit. These are lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs. Mahindra claims that both electric SUV 175 kw DC fast charger can be charged up to 80 percent in 20 minutes.
Mahindra BE 6 and Xev 9E have a 230 bhp output with small 59 kwh battery packs, while with a large 79 kwh battery pack, power of 285 bhp is available.
