Ground Force star Charlie Dimmock, 58, opened up about being back on TV after . The star is currently starring on Garden Rescue, but was regularly on TV during the late 90s and early 90s on Ground Force with Alan Titchmarsh. She then went on to present The Joy of Gardening and River Walks, making rare appearances until Garden Rescue began in 2016. Now she is back on screens, Charlie admitted earlier this year that she wasn't expecting to be on TV for this long in her life.

As she reunited with Alan, Charlie explained how she thought her TV fame would be a 'transitory' period of her life, and was left stunned after spending almost three decades on air. Charlie said "We are gardeners. We are basically down to earth, aren't we? It is what it is and you've got to carry on." She added: "I do love it but I hate it at the same time."

Alan asked: "Because it gets in the way of life?" Charlie replied: "It gets in the way of different things and stuff like that."

The TV star sent fans wild as she returned to Garden Rescue in April last year, as they took to social media to share their praise for the gardening expert.

One viewer said: "It's amazing to see how much Charlie Dimmock has transformed over the years!

Charlie's first episode back saw hera and co-star Chris turn Emma and Nathan's unkempt garden outside their cottage into a 'Balinese paradise', as they added bamboo, a water feature and plants to totally transform the space.
