Patrick Schwarzenegger's role in The White Lotus has been a standout addition to Mike White's popular HBO satire.

He plays the character of Saxon, the sexually adventurous son of Timothy (played by Jason Isaacs) and Victoria Ratliff (Parker Posey), and the older brother of Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) and Lochlan (Sam Nivola).

Throughout the third season, Saxon has unsettled viewers with his risque conversations and suggestive humour as he attempts to charm other guests at the luxury resort.

If his famous surname didn't already give it away, the White Lotus star is indeed the offspring of actor, bodybuilder and former California governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger. In fact, he is the eldest son of the Hollywood icon and his ex-wife, author and journalist Maria Shriver.

Patrick, 31, has two older sisters, Katherine and Christina, and a younger brother, Christopher. He also has a younger half-brother, Joseph Baena, who was born from his father's affair with Mildred Patricia 'Patty' Baena, a former employee in the Schwarzenegger household.

Arnold only discovered Joseph's existence seven or eight years after his birth, and he and Maria separated when the Los Angeles Times revealed the story in 2011. Their divorce was finalised in 2021.

Patrick is famously known for dating pop star and former Disney Channel actress Miley Cyrus between 2014 and 2015.

At the tender age of 17, he confessed in a 2011 interview with Details magazine "My eye is set on Miley", sparking rumours of a fling with her that same year during a temporary split from her long-term boyfriend Liam Hemsworth.

During another break between the Hannah Montana star and Liam a few years later, Patrick was studying at the University of South California and was spotted kissing Miley at a college football game.

In March 2015, Patrick was compelled to publicly deny allegations of cheating on Miley with another girl after they were photographed together on a beach in Cabo San Lucas. Patrick is presently engaged to model Abby Champion, having started their relationship in 2015, the same year his fling with Miley ended. They announced their engagement back in 2023 with a heartfelt post on Instagram.

Patrick Schwarzenegger's early filmography includes roles in Stuck in Love, Grown Ups 2 and Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse.

His breakthrough came with the lead role in the 2018 romantic drama Midnight Sun, where he starred alongside Bella Thorne.
