Udaipur Maharaja Arvind Singh Mewar: Maharana Arvind Singh Mewar, the protector of the Mewar dynasty, died on Sunday morning at the City Palace. Arvind Singh Mewar, 81, was ill for a long time. There is a feeling of mourning throughout Mewar on his death.

Born at the City Palace in Udaipur, Maharana Arvind Singh was undergoing treatment at his residence. His descendants are Lakshraj Singh Mewar and daughters Bhargvi Kumari Mewar and Padmaja Kumari Parmar. His last rites will be performed on Monday.

 

City Palace closed for tourists

Udaipur City Palace will remain closed for tourists for two days due to the death of Maharana Arvind Singh.

He was the younger son of Maharana Bhagwant Singh Mewar and Sushila Kumari, who was adopted by the descendants of Maharana Pratap. His elder brother Mahendra Singh Mewar died on 10 November 2024 last year.
