Arvind Singh Mewar, a prominent member of Rajasthan's Mewar royal family and descendant of Maharana Pratap, has passed away at the age of 81. His death has left a wave of grief in the entire Mewar region. Arvind Singh was ill for a long time and was being treated at Shambhu Niwas in City Palace, Udaipur. Arvind Singh Mewar was born on 13 December 1944 in City Palace, Udaipur. He was the custodian of the royal traditions and culture of Mewar. He played an important role in the preservation and expansion of the City Palace, and also took many steps to keep the rich traditions of Mewar alive. His contribution greatly helped the historical heritage of the Mewar region.

50,000 crore property dispute in the royal family

After the death of Arvind Singh Mewar, the state of disputes regarding property in the Mewar royal family has again come into the headlines.

He has assets worth around 50,000 crores, and now the question is who will be the owner of these assets. Over the years, several controversies have surfaced over the properties of the Mewar family.

Death of Mahendra Singh Mewar and growing controversy

Arvind Singh Mewar's elder brother, Mahendra Singh Mewar, died in 2024. After this, the property disputes within the royal family deepened. When Mahendra Singh's son Dhuni Darshan came to the City Palace, the gate was closed, which further escalated the dispute. Arvind Singh, Mahendra Singh's younger brother, played an important role regarding the properties of the royal family, and after his death, a new twist can be seen in this dispute.

Displeased with this decision, Mahendra Singh filed a case in court and demanded equal distribution of the properties. However, Bhagwant Singh declared his younger son Arvind Singh of Mewar as the executor of the properties. After this decision, the controversy became more complicated.
