One of actor Bala's former wives, Dr Elizabeth Udayan, recently accused him of harassment and rape, sending shockwaves in the south film industry. However, she received a strong response from Bala and his current wife, Kokila, and the actor even stated that Elizabeth was in need of medical attention.

It all began after Elizabeth commented on a video of Bala and Kokila and accused her ex-husband of rape, harassment and cheating. Kokila hit back, accusing Elizabeth of hiding her marriage to a doctor. And Bala's video on Sunday was the final nail in the coffin. "Me and Kokila wish to say "PLEASE LEAVE US ALONE".. WISH this is my last video regarding this issue.. Dear ELIZABETH AND FAMILY (sic)," the actor captioned the video.

According to OnManorama, Bala said in the video that he sincerely loved Elizabeth and respected her family. "But what does Elizabeth need? Medical attention, not social media attention," he stated.

He went on to say, "If someone suffering from depression and taking medication is being used this way, my conscience tells me it's wrong. She needs medical help. I would have ensured she received the right care if I were a doctor in her family. Why aren’t her brothers and parents doing that?"

Bala also warned YouTube channels against spreading false information and threatened them with defamation suits. "Stop falsely accusing me of a crime I did not commit. This has to end, or I will take action," he reportedly said.

Bala married Kokila in an intimate ceremony on October 23, 2024, and later revealed that Kokila was his relative. "This marriage fulfils a dream that Kokila has held onto since her youth," he had said, announcing his wedding.

Bala was earlier married to singer Amrutha Suresh. The duo got divorced due to their irreconcilable differences. He was prohibited from speaking about Amrutha and their daughter publicly. Post their divorce, the actor married Elizabeth Udayan, but that marriage too ended on a bitter note.
