Rang panchami 2025:The festival of Rang Panchami, who is full of colors and devotion, is celebrated with great pomp on the fifth day of Holi, the fifth day of the Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month. This day is also called the Holi of the gods, because it is believed that on this day the deities come to the earth to play Holi with the devotees.
The celebration of Rang Panchami starts from the next day of Holi and lasts for five days and in the Braj region it is also considered a symbol of the conclusion of Holi festival. This time Rang Panchami will be celebrated on 19 March 2025.
According to mythological beliefs, Lord Krishna started the tradition of Rang Panchami in the Dwapar era. He played Holi with Radha on this day, seeing that the gopis also joined this gaiety of colors with him. When the deities saw this unique scene, they also reached Braj, taking the form of Gop-Gopis to join this bliss and played Holi with Radha-Krishna. Since then, this day is celebrated as Holi of the gods.
Rasleela and Rang Utsav:There is also a belief that Krishna created Raslila with the gopis, the next day the festival was celebrated by playing color.
Happiness of Pootana Slaughter: According to some stories, Pootana was killed on the day of Phalgun Purnima. In this happiness, the people of Nandgaon celebrated Rangotsav for five days, including Rang Panchami.
Celebration after Holika Dahan: According to another belief, after Holika Dahan, color was played for five days in the joy of Prahlad's being safe and Rang Panchami was born from this tradition.
Blessing of Cupid's revival: Lord Shiva had pledged Rati to Rati on the day of Phalgun Purnima. In this happiness, the gods celebrated Rangotsav on Rang Panchami, so it "Dev Holi" It is also called.
On the day of Holika Dahan, Holika, Prahlad and Lord Narsingh are worshiped.
