Indian cricketer was seen sporting a T-shirt with the slogan "Be your own Sugar Daddy" when he stepped out from the Bandra Family Court, seconds after his divorce from Choreographer Dhanashree Verma was settled. The curious slogan raised eyebrows, and everyone was left wondering what was going on in Chahal's mind after the breakup.

The Mumbai Court granted the divorce after approving the joint petition filed by Chahal and Verma. Confirming the news, Chahal's lawyer, Nitin Kumar Gupta, said, "The court has granted the decree of divorce. The parties are no longer husband and wife."

Chahal and Dhanashree sought divorce by mutual consent on February 5. But on February 20, the family court declined to exempt the six-month cooling-off period. The couple has been staying apart since June 2022, 18 months after their marriage.

There were rumours regarding Dhanashree and Chahal's divorce after the couple had mutually unfollowed one another on Instagram, leaving everyone speculating. Dhanashree and Yuzvendra got married in December 2020 in a small wedding ceremony in Gurugram. The two got to know one another during the pandemic through social media when Chahal contacted her for dance lessons.

The couple decided to split after four years of marriage. The hearing was set for March 20, taking into account Chahal's IPL 2025 commitments with Punjab Kings. However, neither of them has made the reason for divorce public.

As Chahal shifts his attention back to cricket, his surprise message has left the people and media questioning its underlying message. Chahal will be playing for Punjab Kings (PBKS) during the Indian Premier League 2025. PBKS signed up Chahal for Rs 18 crore before the season of IPL 2025. Chahal is the most successful bowler in the league, holding a record for most wickets taken by an Indian in T20I and also by any bowler in the IPL.
