Lambing season brought highs and lows on Our Dream Farm with Matt Baker as aspiring farmers Lloyd and Abbie experienced the harsh realities of farm life.
Having impressed judges earlier on, the couple had been entrusted with the farmhouse keys. But the demands of the lambing season soon became apparent, with a challenging episode playing out one evening.
The couple found themselves in need of Matt's assistance as they struggled with a ewe in labor.

Matt recounted: "On a check in the early hours, they find a ewe in distress. It's just coming up to two in the morning and I've had a call from Abbie and Lloyd, they're having a bit of trouble in the lamb shed so I'm just heading over to see what's going on."
With the urgency of the situation, Lloyd highlighted their concern; the twin lambs seemed ready for birth, though the ewe was not, reports .
Upon his arrival, Matt immediately joined the effort to aid the birthing process but it quickly became evident that the ewe was having difficulties.
Matt noted how critical teamwork is in such times, saying: "In these situations, it's all hands on deck," as the gripping scenes showed the trio's attempts to assist the ewe.
Abbie promptly sought veterinary guidance, hoping for a safe delivery for the ewe.
However, viewers were spared the distressing conclusion, as Matt solemnly informed them: "After veterinary intervention, the twin lambs sadly didn't make it but the ewe survived."
Speaking directly to the viewers, Lloyd opened up, stating: "You give the utmost care to all your stock but when it's somebody else's you try and strive even more. It's a bit of a glum time when you have a few poorly sheep."
Matt chimed in with his farm wisdom: "Lambing always brings some losses but there is a chance to salvage hope from situations like this."
The tough times on the farm saw a silver lining as a ewe that had lost her lambs was then assisted in 'adopting' a twin lamb, fostering survival for them both.
Despite the dedication shown by Abbie and Lloyd, they ultimately had to relinquish the keys of the farmhouse to Ewan and Sara, the beaming couple ready to start a new chapter as they eyed the 15-year tenancy prize which would mark their first home together.
Matt hinted at tension ahead, revealing that as the competition heats up, some contestants may find themselves packing their bags if they fail to make their mark with the National Trust judges.
