Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], : A.R. Murugadoss shared an old occurrence that happened in Chennai, when he first met Salman Khan, to show his love and devotion for the actor.
Salman Khan and director Murugadoss, who has worked on movies like Ghajini and Holiday, worked together for the first time on the forthcoming Sikandar. On March 30, 2025, it is scheduled to open in theaters.
The ‘Ghajini’ filmmaker revealed his fan moment with Salman Khan at the trailer presentation event, which included an unexpected encounter with the actor in Chennai.
“I was having trouble as an AD (Assistant Director) a long time ago,” he remarked. I went to Prasad Studios in Chennai because I wanted to see a shoot. I asked the security officer to allow me in so I could shoot. He gave me permission with two restrictions. You must remain in your corner and refrain from speaking to anybody. He let me twenty minutes. I was forced to go after that.
He went on to describe how he chose to cast Salman in a movie after having an unexpected meeting with the actor and how this led him to become a fan.
“So I went inside. The nature of the shot is unknown to me. Complete darkness, smoke, light, and Sridevi. I was taken aback. Then all of a sudden I see the rear end of a hero. His hair is being combed. I therefore made an effort to identify the hero. He was Salman Sir, that’s who. I attempted to take a step forward, but the guard was staring at me. “No,” he responded. I decided to go outdoors and consider directing his movie someday. Thus, I directed the movie with him after a long time.
Salman spoke about his experience working on the movie at the trailer’s release, emphasizing how Murugadoss always encouraged him to give his best performance, particularly during action scenes.
Filmmaker AR Murugadoss, meantime, recently said that he hopes to work with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan in the future.
Murugadoss, who has already collaborated with Salman Khan on the upcoming movie “Sikandar” and Aamir Khan on “Ghajini,” expressed his desire to cross working with the third Khan off his bucket list in an interview with ANI.
“I need to complete one Tamil movie after Sikandar. After that, I’ll consider it (working with SRK). “I want to work with him; it’s definitely on my bucket list,” Murugadoss said.
In addition to Salman and Aamir, Murugadoss has collaborated with big-name actors including Suriya (Ghajini), Mahesh Babu (Spyder), Rajinikanth (Darbar), Vijay (Kaththi), Chiranjeevi (Stalin), and Ajith (Dheena).
Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna play the main parts in his next action-packed thriller, Sikandar.
