News Desk: The possibility of finding crude oil reserves near Sagarpali village in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh has raised a new hope not only for local farmers, but for the whole country. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has started excavation in the region, where oil reserves have been detected at a depth of 3,000 meters. After a three -month survey, this discovery has been done in the Ganges Basin. 3,001 meters deep boring is being done for this excavation, so that crude oil reserves can be brought to the surface. For this, 25,000 liters of water is being used daily, and excavation work is going on fast. It is expected that boring work will be completed by the end of April, and the search for oil in the region will be completely confirmed.

Vishal reserves: area of ​​300 km

This crude oil reserves are not limited to Ballia only, but it is spread over an area of ​​300 km, which is an extension from Sagarpali to Phaphamau of Prayagraj. The discovery of this huge store can give India a historical opportunity. If this treasure is used properly, it can ensure energy supply to India for several decades, and the country will not have to depend on oil imports from outside countries.

Self -sufficiency in energy sector

With the discovery of this crude oil reserves, India can not only become self -sufficient in the field of energy, but it can also eliminate our dependence on Arab countries. India has been dependent on the Gulf countries for its oil and gas needs for the last several decades.
