Singapore : India has recently joined hands with Singapore. On Tuesday, Singapore and India have signed a letter for the Green Digital Shipping Corridor i.e. LOI, which focuses on digitalization and carbon emission projects.
According to the Joint Press Conference issued by Singapore's Maritime and Port Authority and Port, Ministry of Ship Transport, Singapore-India GDSC will increase cooperation between the two countries and will help accelerate the development, use and digital solution of 0 or about 0 GHG emission technologies.
Port, Shipping and Waterways Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that his visit to Singapore with a high -level delegation of Marine Area will strengthen long -term relations. He has said that comprehensive strategic partnership will make cooperation between the two countries deep and broader.
Sonowal is on a 3 -day visit to Singapore. He is participating in the maritime week, which is expected to involve 20,000 delegates and exhibitors from around the world. Under the letter letter, both sides will cooperate on maritime digitization and carbon free projects. This involves identifying relevant stakeholders who can contribute to this effort. At the same time, Singapore-India will work towards giving an official form of partnership through MoU ie MOU on GDSC.
Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Water and Waterways on LOU, R.K. Laxmanan and Singapore were signed by Teo Ing Dinh, Chief Executive of the Marine and Port Authority. Minister of State for Senior Purables and Environment of Singapore, Amy Khor and port, ship transport and waterways minister Sarbananda Sonowal were present here at the time of signing of LOI. Marine Week is being held from 24 to 28 March 2025.
