The Jharkhand High Court has stayed the process of promotion from the DSP of the state from the DSP of the state. Following this order of the court, the nine senior DSPs whom the government had sent for promoting to the SP has been stopped. Justice Anand Sen's court has asked the government to file a reply in four weeks, not promoting the entire process till further orders. The next hearing of the case will be held on 28 April.

Rajamani Bakhala and others have filed a petition in this regard. Advocates of the applicants Akashdeep and Vikram Sinha told the court that the government has sent a list to the nine officers posted in the post of DSP to the SP. This list is incorrect. The list also includes the names of three DSP Shivendra, Radhaprem Kishore and Mukesh Mahato.

Criminal cases are going on on them. CBI investigation is going on against them. The CBI has also filed a charge sheet against the three. In such a situation, the names of these three officers cannot be sent for promotion. The court has sought an answer from the government.

The name of the tainted DSP has been sent by the government for promotion, while those who have no allegations have not been sent for promotion. According to the rules, the name of the officer who is undergoing a criminal case cannot be sent for promotion. After this, the court stopped the process. After the hearing, the court directed the Government and Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to immediately stop the appointment process.
