New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a new central contract for the women's cricket team. This year 16 players have been kept in three different grades. Three players have been included in Grade A, four in Grade B and nine in Grade C.

Players involved in central contract

Grade A: Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma Grade B: Renuka Singh, Jemima Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh, Shaifali Verma Grade C: Yastika Bhatia, Radha Yadav, Shremaka Patil, Titas Sadhu, Arundhati Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, Uma Chhetri, Sneh Rana, Sneh Rana, Sneh Rana, Sneh Rana, Pooja Ai Players will get 50 lakh rupees annually. Players kept in grade B will get 30 lakh rupees. Grade C players will get Rs 10 lakh annually.

Difference in fees of women and male players

BCCI announced in 2022 that male and female cricketers would be paid equal match fees. However, there is still a difference in the annual central contract. While there are three grades (A, B, C) for women, there are four grades (A+, A, B, C) for male cricketers. Annual contract amount of male cricketers: Grade A+ – Rs 7 crore Grade A – 5 crore rupees Grade B – Rs 3 crore Grade C – 1 crore rupees of female cricketers grade A amount is also less than the grade C of male cricketers. However, the match fees have been equalized under the equal pay policy. Soon the list of new central contracts of the men's cricket team will also be released.
