These include thousands of posts of Inspector, Constable and Jail Warder. How many posts will be recruited?
A proposal for a total of 19,220 posts has been sent to the recruitment board from the DGP headquarters. It includes posts of various categories:
Constable PAC: 9837 posts
Constable Special Security Force: 1341 posts
Female Constable PAC (Badaun, Gorakhpur, Lucknow): 2282 posts
Constable Civil Police: 3245 posts
Constable PAC/Armed Police: 2444 posts
Constable Mounted Police: 71 posts
Apart from this, 4543 recruitments will be done on Inspector (SI) posts, which include:
Sub-Inspector Civil Police: 4242 posts
Sub-Inspector Civil Police Women (PAC Corps): 106 posts
Platoon Commander/Sub-Inspector Armed Police: 135 posts
Jail Warder will also be recruited
The Prison Headquarters of Uttar Pradesh has also sent a proposal for recruitment to 2833 Jail Warder posts. It is also expected to get approval soon.
When will the recruitment process start?
According to the recruitment board, the notification will be issued to start the recruitment process by the end of April 2025. Interested candidates have been advised to keep an eye on the official website of UP Police Recruitment Board www.uppbpb.gov.in.
Who can apply?
Qualification: From minimum 12th pass to graduation, qualifications will vary according to the post.
