opened a new store in Jersey earlier this month as part of its supply agreement. The holds an agreement with Alliance Stores and there are a couple of exciting new openings happening for the popular chain. Its first new store opened earlier this month in St Ouen, with the second set to open on Broad Street in St Helier, on 27 March.

recently ended its long-running franchise partnership with Sandpiper CL after 38 of its stores were acquired by Morrisons. Following this, Iceland launched a new partnership with Alliance.

This could see 10 new stores opened in Guernsey and Jersey over the next year.

The new stores stock a range of Iceland own-label products, as well as lines from its exclusive brand partnerships with Cathedral City, TGIs and Harry Ramsden.

He continues: "Our new franchise partnership ensures that shoppers in Jersey have access to Iceland's innovative and affordable range, offering greater convenience and choice.

"We look forward to welcoming the local community through our doors this March while continuing to strengthen our partnership with Alliance as we continue our growth plans this year."

Iceland Foods is a unique with over 900 stores throughout the UK, a further 40 owned or franchised stores across Europe, and a global export business.

It first began in 1970 when Malcolm Walker opened the first Iceland shop in Oswestry, Shropshire, selling loose frozen food.

By 1975, the business had grown to 15 Iceland stores in North Wales and the North West, supported by a cold store in Rhyl.

In 2024, relaunched its national TV advertising with updated slogan, "That's why we go to Iceland" which is one that many Brits will remember seeing on their screens.
