The Pune Airport has recorded significant growth in passenger traffic, witnessing a 10-11 per cent increase in the financial year 2024-25. The airport recorded approximately 10.5 million passengers, compared to 9.5 million in the previous financial year.

Santosh Dhoke, Managing Director, Pune Airport, speaking to The Free Press Journal, said, "Pune Airport has registered a 10 to 11 per cent increase in passenger flow, reaching 10.5 million passengers in the financial year 2024-25, compared to 9.5 million in the last financial year."

"After the opening of the new terminal, the number of flights has increased, leading to a rise in passenger traffic. More than 30,000 passengers are travelling in a single day to national and international destinations (Bangkok, Singapore and Dubai)," he added.

"From Pune Airport, passengers can travel up to 35 cities across India. In the future, the number of flights and destinations is expected to increase,"  Dhoke further said.

Meanwhile, the Pune Airport has recently announced its summer schedule. It is set to accommodate 104 flights (104 departures and 104 arrivals) daily, totalling 208 flight movements per day. This is because schools and colleges are set to close for summer break, prompting families to plan trips to cooler regions in India and abroad.
