The National Institute of Design (NID) has declared the results of the prelims exam of the Entrance Design Aptitude Test (DAT) for admission to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) program for the 2024 session. Candidates who appeared in this exam can check their results on the NID admission portal admissions.nid.edu.

The selection process for Mains exam

Based on the results of the prelims exam, the selected candidates will get a chance to appear in the mains exam. For declaring the final result of the BDes program, NID will give 40 percent weightage to the marks obtained in the prelims exam and 60 percent weightage to the marks of the mains exam. Along with the results, NID has also declared the cut-off marks for the final results. It will be 50 percent for General and General-EWS category candidates, 45 percent for OBC-NCL category candidates, and 40 percent for SC, ST, and PwD category candidates. At the same time, there will be a cut-off of 50 percent for foreign candidates.

BDes courses are available in various campuses of NID like Ahmedabad, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Assam. After the final result, general counseling will be conducted for admission in these institutes. Candidates are advised to visit the admission portal regularly for further information.
