The title for 20th Century Studios‘ upcoming animated Predator movie has finally been confirmed. This comes ahead of the Walt Disney Studios‘ presentation at the 2025 CinemaCon, where the project is expected to be formally revealed.
According to entertainment journalist Jeff Sneider, the animated Predator movie will reportedly be titled as Predator: Killer of Killers. Besides its official title, he also shared a new detail about the project’s plot, revealing that the new movie will supposedly involve “The Predator working their way through three different kinds of warriors.”
Prior to Sneider’s scoop, a previous report from io9 claimed that the upcoming animated film is “almost an anthology,” following Predators in multiple eras.
The secret animated movie will be directed by 10 Cloverfield Lane filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg, who is also helming the live-action Predator movie, Predator: Badlands, with Elle Fanning attached for the leading role. These mark Trachtenberg’s latest projects for the long-running action sci-fi franchise after previously directing 2022’s acclaimed prequel Prey. At the moment, the project has no official release date and cast yet.
“After Prey became a success, Dan [Trachtenberg] came back and said he didn’t want to do Prey 2. And we’re like, ‘What do you want to do?’ And he rattled off a bunch of ideas that were really crazy but really cool,” 20th Century Studios president Steve Asbell said in a previous interview.
