Manchester United legend seems to have a post-retirement plan sorted, but his luxury mansion might throw a spanner in the works. The former captain first made his name as a pundit in 2011 after calling time on his playing career in 2006.
Known for his sharp and entertaining insights on and the straight-talking 53, has hinted at retiring from punditry as he enters his 60s.
The star has also expressed a desire to relocate overseas, yet his opulent residence in Hale, Greater Manchester, could prove to be an obstacle. Despite trying to offload it multiple times, the ex-Sunderland manager hasn't found a buyer.

Keane and his wife Theresa snapped up the 1.2-acre plot back in 2005 for a cool £3.2million. After some renovations, it hit the market in 2010 with a hefty £9.5m price tag, but it found no buyers.
Between 2018 and 2019, the property was up for grabs again at a reduced price of £6.45m, yet still remained unsold. Keane's difficulty in selling his luxurious abode certainly poses a problem for the icon who has ambitions brewing for life after football analysis.
"I don't think I'll be doing punditry in 10 years' time," Keane said on the Stick to podcast. "I love football but the hassle of matches, getting to games and the hassle of fans.
"The games are fine. Getting to the games, parking up, people shouting your name - good stuff, bad stuff - it's a nuisance. Being a pundit in 10 years, not."
Keane also shared his aspirations to live abroad during another episode of the show. "In the next couple of years, I reckon I will be moving abroad... putting it out there," Keane said. "Switzerland, maybe? Switzerland is beautiful."
For the time being, Keane may be stuck with his current residence, but it's far from a hardship. His home is shielded from prying eyes by towering trees that flank the secluded cul-de-sac, complemented by a variety of thick bushes.
The property's extensive grounds are more akin to a rural estate than a suburban dwelling, boasting an outdoor swimming pool with its own separate pool house and tennis courts.
Additional features include a three-car garage and a detached annex. The 9,500 sq ft house greets visitors with a stately entrance hall leading to a study, drawing room, or games room equipped with a full-sized snooker table.
A vast sitting area, a striking kitchen and dining space, along with six reception rooms, grace the ground floor. An office space, a secondary kitchen, and a utility room further enhance the luxurious home.
The massive 28' x 25' master bedroom boasts an en-suite, dressing rooms and a four-poster bed with what seems to be a mirrored ceiling. The annex accommodates another five bedrooms on this floor, with two more bedrooms located on the second floor.
Despite its opulence, it remains uncertain whether anyone will step forward to shell out for the property, perhaps due to its steep asking price.
Even at its last reduced price of £6.45m, it was still six times pricier than the typical detached property in the area, where the average asking price for five-bed homes stands at £1.7m.
