A year after their wedding, she announced her pregnancy and welcomed their first child later that year. Despite the news of her child's birth, her Instagram account has not been active since.
She disclosed to Closer Magazine about her reason for stepping away from social media, "I think taking a step away from showbiz has been the biggest saving grace for me, as it's brought better people into my life and given me a healthier perspective on what's important."
In 2019, she said on The Jeremy Vine Show that she considered taking her own life in the aftermath of the scandal. Revisiting the footage from the show, she expressed, "Looking back at those clips, it's awful. It was a really awful time for a lot of people."
Meanwhile, Ryan Thomas opened up about the incident in 2023 for the first time on his podcast, Mancs on the Mic. He said, "I just feel like it's a science experiment and they don't interfere with what's going on, they know if something was wrong, then they would have intervened, but they wanted to see how it played out and sort of get it, but a lot of people saying I shouldn't have gone through what I went through, but you're there to be tested."
Ryan eventually went on to win the show in 2018.
