The doors of Kedarnath Dham will formally reopen on May 2, while those of Badrinath Dham will reopen on May 4, according to a significant statement made by the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) on Friday. The decision was made during a meeting, according to the authorities, which included priests and administrators. They said that all preparations are being made by the authorities for the massive religious trip.
“The Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee’s advance party arrived at Shri Kedarnath Dham this evening. According to ANI, the BKTC official said that the doors of Shri Kedarnath Dham will open on May 2. According to the official release, the doors of Madmaheshwar Temple, the second Kedar, will open on May 21 and the third Kedar, Shri Tungnath Temple, will reopen on May 2. According to the authorities, BKTC CEO Vijay Prasad Thapliyal was present at a meeting on Monday to decide on the date for Madmaheshwar Temple’s inauguration at Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath. The Kedar Sabha greeted Thapliyal and commended him for coordinating with the Tirthpurohits. Prior to revealing the final dates, the CEO also inspected a number of potential locations on Tuesday.
Maa Barahi Temple, Sansari, Masta Narayan Koti, Shri Triyuginarayan Temple, Gauramaata Temple, Gaurikund, Temple Committee Rest House at Son Prayag, and Sanskrit College at Shonitpur (Guptkashi) were all inspected by Thapliyal.
Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath are the four holy sites in Uttarakhand that are part of the Char Dham Yatra.
