London, London: England have included fast bowler Gas Atkinson in their team for the third Test against India, which will start at Lord’s from Thursday 10 July. The 27 -year -old fast bowler has returned to the Test team after a right hamstring injury while winning Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge in May. His return has increased the strength of the English fast bowlers, as he has taken 55 wickets in 12 matches at an average of 22.30, including his best performance 7/45, including five wickets and ten wickets once.



Talking about the second Birmingham Test match, England once again opted for fielding. After dismissing KL Rahul (2) early, Yashaswi Jaiswal (87 runs in 107 balls, 13 fours) and Karun Nair (31 runs in 50 balls, five fours) 80 -run partnership brought India to somewhat strong position in the match. During the run-chase, England was limited to 50/3. Jamie Smith (88 off 99 balls, with the help of nine fours and four sixes) was the only ray of hope for England, but he was out for 271 runs and lost by 336 runs, the credit goes to a brilliant spell of Akash Deep (6/99), who took 10 wickets.
