Famous singer of the 1990s Kumar Sanu has been in the news not only for his songs but also for his personal life. His name was linked with many women including actress Kunickaa Sadanand who is currently in the Bigg Boss 19 house. In an old interview with Siddharth Kannan Kunickaa spoke openly about her six-year relationship with Kumar Sanu. She said that they treated each other like husband and wife. They first met in Ooty where Kunickaa was shooting for a project and Kumar Sanu was vacationing with his sister and nephew.

Kunickaa said that one night Kumar Sanu was very drunk and started talking about jumping from the hotel window in depression. Kunickaa her sister and her nephew stopped him. This emotional moment brought the two closer. Kunickaa said I reminded him of his responsibilities. After this he started living in my neighborhood. We used to share food and I helped him lose weight.

Kunickaa kept the relationship private out of respect for Kumar Sanus family. They were only seen together in stage shows where Kunickaa would choose his clothes and arrange his performances. But later she was heartbroken to know some things. Kumar Sanus then-wife Rita Bhattacharya came to know about this relationship.
