The Royal Enfield Ice Hockey League Season 3 continued at the Nawang Dorjay Stobdan (NDS) Stadium in Leh, featuring teams like Humas Warriors, Kangs Sing, Sham Eagles, Kharu Eagles, and Shakar Chiktan Queens. This event is organized in collaboration with the UT Administration of Ladakh and the Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh. Both Kangs and Humas are tied at the top of the leaderboard, each with 24 points, although Humas maintains the lead due to a superior goal difference. Additionally, the day saw a draw between Shakar Chiktan Royals and Sham Wolves, while Sham Eagles extended their unbeaten streak, ending Kharu Eagles' run.



Royals and Wolves Play Out Thrilling 3-3 Draw

The match between Shakar Chiktan Royals and Sham Wolves marked the first draw in the men's category, concluding at 3-3 after a dramatic comeback in the third period. The Royals dominated the first period, scoring three goals through Ali Akbar, Laqat Ali, and Hamid Khan. The second period was scoreless as both teams tightened their defenses. In the third period, Sham Wolves rallied back, with Nawang Namgail scoring first, followed by Urgain Chosjor, who netted two goals to equalize.



Kangs Sing Edge Out Zanskar in Tight Contest

Kangs Sing, representing Leh, triumphed over Zanskar Chadar Tamers with a close score of 3-2. Gonbo Tashi initiated the scoring with a tap-in during the first period, leading 1-0 into the second. Zanskar responded with Captain Phurboo Dorjay equalizing and Rinchen Wangyal giving them a 2-1 lead by the end of the second. However, Kangs fought back in the third, with Tsewang Nurboo leveling the score before Gonbo secured the win with a drag flick.



Sham Eagles Dominate to Stay Unbeaten

In a commanding performance, Sham Eagles defeated Kharu Eagles 5-0. Padma Desal scored two goals, while Dolkar Angmo added another in the first period, establishing an early lead. Rigzen Angmo contributed another goal in the second, and captain Semzes Dolma capped off the scoring in the final minute, maintaining Sham Eagles' unbeaten status and ending Kharu Eagles' streak.



Changthang Shans Secure Victory Over United Nubra

Changthang Shans achieved a 7-3 victory against United Nubra, taking control early in the game. Angchok Nurboo and Rigzen Namgyal scored in the first period, while Nubra's Captain Tsewang Stanzin managed to pull one back. The Shans extended their lead in the second period with multiple goals, despite Nubra's late attempts to close the gap.



Purig Warriors Shutout Maryul Spawo

Purig Warriors concluded the day with a 2-0 victory over Maryul Spawo, showcasing a strong defensive performance. Villayat Ali opened the scoring just before the first period ended, and Sarfaraz Hussain added another early in the second. Purig maintained their lead through a scoreless third period.



League Standings Update Men's Table

Humas Warriors remain at the top, with Kangs Sing now tied on points but in second place. Purig Warriors hold third, while Changthang Shans are in fourth. Shakar Chiktan Royals and Sham Wolves are fifth and sixth, respectively, both having drawn their match. Zanskar Chadar Tamers are seventh, followed by Kharu Falcons in eighth. United Nubra is ninth, with Changla Blasters and Maryul Spawo in tenth and eleventh.



Women's Table

Sham Eagles continue to lead the women's standings, with Kharu Eagles in second. Shakar Chiktan Queens, Humas Queens, and Changla Lamos occupy the third, fourth, and fifth positions, respectively.
