Grief-stricken Kelly Osbourne has reportedly split from her Slipknot rocker fiancé Sid Wilson just seven months after his emotional backstage proposal - as the devastating loss of her father Ozzy continues to overshadow her life. The daughter of Sharon Osbourne and the late Black Sabbath legend is said to have called off the engagement while struggling through what friends describe as "an incredibly difficult mourning process". Kelly, who shares three-year-old son Sidney with the 48-year-old musician, had appeared blissfully happy when Wilson proposed last July at Ozzy's final ever Black Sabbath concert. But insiders now claim the relationship could not withstand the strain.

A source told the Mail: "Kelly and Sid have decided to call off their engagement. Kelly has been struggling following the loss of her father. The grieving process has been incredibly difficult, and she's been doing everything she can to cope. In truth, she and Sid have been facing challenges in their relationship for some time, and things were not as they appeared. They tried to make it work, particularly for the sake of their child, but ultimately decided that separating is the best path forward."

Express.co.uk have contacted Kelly Osbourne's representatives for comment.

Friends say Kelly is now focusing on healing and motherhood as she rebuilds after Ozzy's death last July at the age of 76.

The split comes as a stark contrast to the romantic scenes that played out backstage at Villa Park, where Wilson dropped to one knee in front of both Sharon and Ozzy.

In footage later shared online, Sharon could be heard telling guests: "You've got to be quiet!" moments before the proposal unfolded.

Holding Kelly's hand, Wilson declared: "Kelly, you know I love you more than anything in the world!"

Ozzy then undercut the tension with a typically cheeky remark: "F*** off, you are not marrying my daughter!"

After laughter, Wilson pressed on: "I want to spend the rest of my life with you - and ask in front of all of our family and friends, Kelly, will you marry me?"

Kelly appeared stunned as he placed the ring on her finger while her parents beamed and those present cheered.

She later posted the moment on Instagram with the caption: "Oh and this happened yesterday!"

The ring itself - nicknamed "Honeybee," Kelly's personal pet name - was a bespoke design featuring a 2.5 carat diamond set in 18-carat yellow gold with white and yellow diamonds and citrine accents.

Kelly and Wilson's bond stretches back decades. They first met in 1999 at Ozzfest, the heavy-metal festival founded by her parents, before finally becoming a couple in late 2021 after more than 20 years of friendship.

But since Ozzy's death, Kelly has spoken openly about how deeply she is struggling. Earlier this month she hit back at body-shaming comments, explaining she was enduring the "hardest time of her life".

She also stood beside Sharon at the BRIT Awards as her father received a posthumous Lifetime Achievement honour.

Fighting back emotion, Sharon told the audience: "I'm honoured to accept this award from my gorgeous husband, this Lifetime Achievement Award. God knows, I wish he was here to accept it himself."
