In the early 18th over of the RCB batting, the on-field umpire Virender Sharma was caught off guard after Tim David was literally unwilling to just hand over the ball to the umpire. After the second ball of the over got blown away for a six, the umpires came together for a ball inspection.

The ball seemed to have been damaged a bit, maybe due to the relentless hitting. After a discussion between the umpires, the ball was changed. And then Tim David entered the chat. He was literally juggling the replacement ball in air, checking it, almost irritating the umpires for being too picky. The umpire was trying to catch the ball, but David was in no mood to give it back

On-field umpire Virender Sharma eventually asked him to stop being naive and let the game start. At that time MI former captain Rohit Sharma walked in, dropped a work in the circus, and left smirking.
