Meghan Markle has been savaged over a staggering comment she made on her ongoing tour of Australia. The Duchess of Sussex has also been branded the "world's biggest troll" despite claiming the contrary at an event in Melbourne.

Meghan and Prince Harry are currently on the third day of a four-day tour of Australia, where they will visit charitable causes and events, including an Aboriginal walking tour called the Scar Tree Walk. Speaking in Melbourne, the Duchess claimed she was the "most trolled person in the entire world" for 10 years. However, speaking on the Daily Expresso, TalkTV presenter Mark Dolan slammed Meghan for trolling the British people instead. Meanwhile, podcast host JJ Anisiobi criticised the former working royal for complaining about her treatment in front of native Aboriginals.

JJ said: "What annoyed me slightly about it, is she's walking around some Aboriginal people. The Aboriginal people of Australia, natives of that country who have been oppressed and more than bullied.

"But then, Meghan, the duchess, living in a mansion, is saying how horrible her life has been in the last 10 years. I'm sorry, she lost me at that point."

Mark Dolan replied: "You couldn't be more right about that. Look at the indigenous population of Australia and I think they were a tiny bit trolled by an incoming population who upended their lives, murdered them and appropriated their land. But no, no, no, no, Meghan's the victim because we talk about her on the Daily Expresso."

Aboriginal Australians have experienced oppression since British colonisation in 1788. They have lost land, been massacred, lost children and suffered from policies to restrict their freedom.

In Melbourne, Meghan claimed that she was "bullied" every day for a decade. Meanwhile, Prince Harry supported Australia's social media ban for children under 16, describing the move as "epic".

Mr Dolan added: "Meghan is not the most trolled person in the world, Meghan is the biggest troll. She's trolling us, she's trolling the British people by saying our institutions are evil, that the monarchy is horrible and awful when she was a frontline serving royal.

"She's trolling the British media who are apparently riven with racism, she's trolling her father who fought for his life in a Philippines hospital and she has to gaslight him and say 'I've been trying to get his number but the Daily Mail won't give it to me'."

He continued: "She trolled Piers Morgan. A guy that welcomed her into the UK media scene and gave her great contacts. She meets Harry and then, bang, she ghosts him.

"Then it gets worse - she organises and arranges for him to be sacked from his job as a breakfast TV host by writing to the boss of ITV after he responded to the Oprah interview in which he said he 'doesn't believe a word this woman says'. She's the world's biggest troll. She's trolling us!"
