Charlotte Griffiths appeared on today's GB News alongside hosts Ellie Costello and Stephen Dixon to discuss Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Australian tour after the Duchess of Sussex claimed she was the "most trolled person in the world", despite previously saying she does not read social media comments.

Charlotte began: "They are now calling it Meghan's misery tour - this tour of Australia. Because they keep complaining about things wherever they go, and the latest thing is she's done a full victim speech, saying she's tormented, she's bullied and attacked. She's been bullied every day for 10 years online, and she is the most trolled person in the world. "The reason why I find it very grating is that Meghan says she doesn't read social media, she doesn't read Twitter. Twitter is full of vile trolls; it is a cesspit, but she always claims she doesn't read any of it."

The journalist added: "Harry conflates online Twitter trolls who are just random people and keyboard warriors with the mainstream press and says we are the ones doing the trolling."

Reflecting on the fourth day of the Australian tour, Charlotte concluded: "I think she would do well to differentiate between the British media they so hate and trolls. If she doesn't want to know about the trolls, don't read them."

Speaking at Melbourne's Swinburne University of Technology about the harms of social media, Meghan addressed the relentless trolling she'd received for the past decade.

She also told students: "When I think of all of you and what you're experiencing, I think so much of that is having to realise that you know that industry, that billion-dollar industry, that is completely anchored and predicated on cruelty to get clicks - that's not going to change. So you have to be stronger than that."

Harry, who was also on the campus, said Australia's social media ban for youngsters was "epic" from a "responsibility and leadership standpoint".

The Duke and Duchess will end their tour in Sydney later this week.
