In a chilling case from Meerut, a father concealed his daughter's corpse in their home for five months following her death. This horrifying revelation has sent shockwaves through the local community.

The Unimaginable Reality

Imagine returning home after a long day, only to find your beloved daughter’s lifeless body. In a typical scenario, anyone would immediately contact the authorities or inform family members. However, in this unsettling case, the father chose to remain in the house with his daughter's remains, avoiding any notification to the police or relatives.

How the Truth Came to Light

This incident took place in the Teli Mohalla area of Meerut. Uday Bhanu Biswas, originally from Bengal, lived with his 34-year-old daughter Priyanka. Concerned relatives had been searching for Uday Bhanu, who had been unreachable for days. When his cousin, Biswajit Biswas, called him, Uday initially hung up but later claimed that Priyanka was hospitalized in Dehradun. This raised suspicions, prompting Biswajit to investigate further. Eventually, he learned that Uday Bhanu had been spotted at a tea shop in the Begambagh area, leading him and other relatives to confront Uday.

The Horrific Scene Inside the Home

Relatives forcibly took Uday Bhanu back to his home for questioning. Under pressure, he confessed that Priyanka's body was inside the house. When the police arrived, they were met with a horrifying sight: the home was filled with garbage and a foul odor. Priyanka's body lay on the bed, reduced to skeletal remains. The neighborhood gathered in shock and disbelief as the police documented the scene and sent the body for autopsy.

The Full Story Unfolds

Investigations revealed that Priyanka had died approximately five months prior. She was a computer science teacher, and Uday had been misleading people about her whereabouts, claiming she was in Dehradun. To mask the smell of decay, he frequently used perfume, with several empty bottles found in the house. Uday explained that Priyanka suffered from black jaundice and, despite seeking traditional remedies, her condition worsened until her death. He admitted to living with her body for about two months before briefly leaving for Dehradun, returning to find her remains significantly decomposed.

A Family's Tragic History

This incident is compounded by a tragic family history; Uday's wife, Sharmistha, had committed suicide in 2013 due to his frequent absences while working in Varanasi. This loss deeply affected Priyanka, leading her to become withdrawn and isolated. Uday Bhanu is now in police custody, and investigations are ongoing. This case not only shocks but also highlights issues of mental health, familial relationships, and the depths of loneliness.
