Bureau Prayagraj. .Led a four-year-old girl to his room by luring her with toffee and then raped her. There was a stir in entire Rajasthan when the incident came to light. On the complaint of the victim and her family, the police immediately registered a case and arrested the accused Sub Inspector Bhupendra Singh Yadav. The police department also dismissed the accused with immediate effect. The investigation of the case was completed expeditiously and a charge sheet was filed in the court under the POCSO Act.

During the hearing, 33 witnesses and 46 documentary evidence were presented against the accused by the victim’s side. POCSO Court Judge Rekha Rathore, considering the statements of the witnesses and the available evidence, convicted Sub Inspector Bhupendra Singh Yadav.

After the sentencing, Sub Inspector Bhupendra Singh Yadav declared himself innocent and said that he will appeal against this decision in the High Court. At the same time, Jitendra Kumar Saini, Special Public Prosecutor of POCSO Court, described the case as heart-wrenching. He said that such an incident with a small girl by a policeman is extremely serious.
