PhonePe on Thursday said that the number of registered users on the platform has crossed 700 million (70 crore) since its inception till April 29, 2026. This achievement reflects PhonePe’s population reach and reach in digital payments and financial services delivery.

It also reflects the company’s continued growth, which has been made possible by growing consumer confidence, market leading delivery network and continued focus on providing a reliable and seamless digital payments experience.

What stands out about this journey is not only its sheer size, but also the speed of its development. The phone took 136 days to reach its first million users, and now the feat is being achieved every 6 days. From FY2023 to FY2025, the company has maintained a steady compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 56.25 percent, showing its continued expansion despite operating on a huge scale.

PhonePe’s growth is driven by its commitment towards building an accessible and secure financial services ecosystem. With a strong emphasis on speed, reliability and user-centric design, the platform is continuously evolving to suit the needs of rapidly digitizing India.
