After impressing audiences with his portrayal of Hamza in the Dhurandhar films, Ranveer Singh now appears set for a dramatic shift in his cinematic image. According to a report by Pinkvilla, the actor is expected to headline a large-scale adaptation of Amish Tripathi’s popular Shiva trilogy, widely recognised as The Immortals of Meluha series.

Ranveer Singh Acquires Rights To ‘The Immortals Of Meluha’

The report claims that Ranveer has secured the adaptation rights to The Immortals of Meluha under his own production banner.

A source close to the project reportedly stated that Ranveer has long been passionate about adapting the Meluha universe for cinema."The acquisition happened recently, and the project is now officially under development. Makers are approaching the franchise as a long-term cinematic universe and the plan is to tell the story over 3 films," the publication quoted a source as saying.

Work On Screenplay And World-Building Begins

Although the cast for the project has not yet been finalised, the makers have reportedly started working on the screenplay and extensive world-building process. Production for the first film in the trilogy is expected to begin in 2028.
