New Delhi. The increase in milk prices continues across the country. After Amul, now Mother Dairy has also announced to increase the prices of its milk. The company said in a statement issued on Wednesday that the prices of various variants of liquid milk have been increased by up to Rs 2 per liter. The new rates will be applicable from 14 May 2026.
According to Mother Dairy, this decision has been taken due to rising production costs, packaging expenses and increase in animal feed prices. The company says that keeping in mind the interests of farmers and dairy operators, revision of prices had become necessary. It is noteworthy that Mother Dairy had earlier changed the milk prices at the end of April 2025.
Amul also increased prices
Earlier, Amul had also announced to increase the price of its milk by Rs 2 per liter across the country. Amul’s new prices will also be applicable from Thursday, May 14. The company has cited packaging cost and expensive animal feed as the main reasons behind increasing the price.
Amul says that this step has been taken to protect milk producers and people associated with dairy business from financial loss.
