Lifestyle Desk- In the summer season, sweet and sour chutney made from raw mango is a great combination of taste and health. Its spicy, sour and slightly sweet taste makes even ordinary food special. Dal-rice, parathas, pakodas or snacks – this chutney is very much liked with everything.



Talking about health, Vitamin C, fiber and antioxidants are found in good quantities in raw mango. It is considered helpful in cooling the body in summer, improving digestion and protecting from heatstroke. Many people also consider it as a traditional food that increases energy in summer. So let us know how to make this chutney.


Material


Raw mango-2 medium sized (peeled and chopped)
Mint leaves-8–10
Green coriander-1/2 cup
Green chilli-2
Ginger-1 small piece
Roasted cumin – 1/2 tsp
salt-as per taste
Jaggery or sugar – 1–2 teaspoons
a little water


Method



  1. Wash, peel the raw mango and cut it into small pieces.

  2. Add mango, mint, green coriander, green chilli and ginger in the mixer. Add salt, roasted cumin and jaggery/sugar in it.

  3. Add some water and grind everything well. Take out the prepared chutney in a bowl.

  4. If you want, you can also add a little red chili powder or chaat masala on top. This chutney tastes delicious with parathas, samosas, pakodas, dal-rice and snacks. It also works to provide freshness in summers.
