Along with this, there is full possibility of heavy rain and lightning along with thunder. Apart from UP, a similar dangerous red alert has also been issued for Rayagada district of Odisha.

Meteorologists say that the speed of rain in the affected areas will be so fast that more than 15 mm of water can rain in just one hour. Apart from this, there is every possibility of worsening weather in the mountains of Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh and Jodhpur, Ajmer and Kota of Rajasthan.

According to the State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA), while the mercury has crossed 44 degrees in some districts of the state, rain has started in some areas.
