Maniesh Paul’s mother, Urmil Paul has passed away at the age of 77. She breathed her last in Delhi on Wednesday, and the news was confirmed by the actor’s team through an official statement. While Maniesh has mostly kept his family away from the public eye over the years, his team requested everyone to pray for his mother’s departed soul as the family goes through this difficult time.

Confirming the unfortunate news, Maniesh Paul’s team shared a statement that read, “With great grief, we regret to inform you that actor Maniesh Paul lost his 77 year old mother today in Delhi. We request you to please pray for the departed soul. May she rest in eternal peace.”

Maniesh has rarely spoken about his family in public. Despite being one of television’s most popular faces, he has always preferred keeping his personal life private.

Maniesh is married to his childhood friend, Sanyukta Paul. The couple have two children, daughter Saisha and son Yuvann. Despite being one of television’s most popular hosts and actors, Maniesh has often preferred keeping his family life low key.

On the work front, Maniesh was recently seen in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, alongside Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf and Akshay Oberoi. The film was directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar.

Before that, the actor had also shared a heartfelt post praising designer and filmmaker Vikram Phadnis after wrapping up their upcoming film together. Along with behind the scenes pictures, Maniesh had thanked Vikram for trusting him with the role and called the film a special experience.
