R Ashwin on Kuldeep Yadav: Indian team’s star spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been included in the team squad for the ODI series against England. However, Kuldeep was not included in the playing-11 of the first ODI match. Now former Indian veteran spinner R. Ashwin has openly supported Kuldeep Yadav. Ashwin has clearly said that Kuldeep is a match-winning bowler and he should get trust and support in the team. Ashwin said, “I think he has been handled very poorly.

Kuldeep Yadav is being kept out of playing 11 continuously.

Kuldeep Yadav has been continuously kept out of the playing-11 for some time. Kuldeep did not get a chance to play in 3 out of the last 5 ODI matches. The team management expressed confidence in such spinners instead of Chinamen, who can contribute in batting along with bowling. Now Ravichandran Ashwin has criticized the team management regarding Kuldeep Yadav’s case.

R Ashwin came out in support of Kuldeep Yadav

R Ashwin said, “I think he has been handled very poorly. When a player has been performing well for a long time, has a good understanding of the game and is important for the team, then he should be looked at from the right perspective. Just as a batsman plays well consistently, similarly if a bowler is given confidence, his rhythm will also improve. That’s why I think Kuldeep has been handled very poorly. He should get opportunities. Kuldeep will be seen in the South Africa tour next year. The role will be important.

Should choose between Washington Sundar and Akshar Patel

R Ashwin further said, the team management is using Shivam Dubey in place of Hardik Pandya. He also made him bowl extra. In T20 you need 4 overs from 2 bowlers. You have two finger spinners like Washington Sundar and Axar Patel who can also bat. In such a situation, you can choose between the two and you should feed Kuldeep.

Little hope of change in Team India’s playing 11

The second ODI match between India and England will be played on 16 July at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. Now it remains to be seen whether Team India enters this match with a change in its playing 11 or plays with the old team only, because the way Team India performed in the first ODI, there is little hope that there will be any change in the playing eleven.

Spin all-rounder Akshar Patel made important contribution in batting as well as bowling. Along with taking 4 wickets, Akshar played a match-winning inning of 58 not out. Whereas Washington Sundar did not take any wicket in bowling, but played an important role in helping Team India win with the bat. Sundar had scored unbeaten 52 runs. In such a situation, there is little hope that there will be any change in the playing 11 of Team India.
