• Sarthak Chavan dominates Mahadirt Track Challenge

Pune/Racing: Sarthak Chavan, a 19-year-old young rider representing India at the international level in the prestigious 'Maha Dirt Track Challenge' motorcycle competition organized on the occasion of Ganeshotsav here (Pune) with a strong performance and single-handedly dominated the entire competition. Being held in the backdrop of the Ganesh festival, the event gained special significance in the world of motorcycle racing.

Organizer Sheetal Rathod ably handled this entire grand competition. A woman organizer has set a new example by successfully organizing such a challenging motorcycle racing event with determination, precise planning and hard work. Through her actions, she proved that women can also be effective leaders in the traditionally male-dominated adventure field of motorsports. His entire team also provided valuable support in this project.

Dust the 450cc rivals on a 300cc bike

In the premium class of the competition, Sarthak Chavan won outright titles in all the three classes showing his unique riding technique. The highlight of the event was that while the rival riders rode powerful 450 cc motorcycles, Sarthak raced on a mere 300 cc motorcycle. Despite the underpowered engine, it showed tremendous speed, excellent cornering control and skill to pull away with a huge lead over its rivals. For his consistent and all-round performance, he was awarded the highest title of 'Best Rider' in the competition.

Double brilliance of the Chavan brothers

Along with Sarthak, his brother Darshit Chavan also performed brilliantly on the track and finished third in his group. The brilliant performance of these two brothers has added another pillar of honor to the Chavan family in the world of motorsports. Apart from this, Jibran Sheikh, Jirender Sanghvi and Lokesh Bhosle also performed strongly in their respective classes and won the title in the various categories of the competition.
