Regarding the clash between TMC and BJP workers in Mukundpur, West Bengal, hospitalization of many people and the attack on Humayun Kabir, BJP leader Jitendra Tiwari said that attacking anyone in a democratic system or snatching away his democratic rights has not been the agenda of BJP. BJP is fighting for change in Bengal and wants the rule of law to be maintained in the state.

Jitendra Tiwari said that in the past some people have done such things due to which there is anger among the general public towards them and at many places they are facing public anger. He also said that people should not take law into their own hands. The government will endeavor to take action within the ambit of law against people involved in anti-social activities and implement the provision of punishment.

On the attack on Humayun Kabir, he said that physical attack on any person is not acceptable in a democratic system. Our party and government do not support such violence. He alleged that some political people are taking provocative actions to get cheap popularity and limelight, due to which the public is getting agitated.

He said that BJP can control its workers, but it is not possible to control the general public. If a person provokes the public then people look at his current behavior rather than his position or identity. Therefore, to avoid such incidents, all parties should exercise restraint.

On the time given to 20 MPs who left TMC and joined NCPI and the ongoing case in the Supreme Court, Jitendra Tiwari said that he does not have complete information about the Delhi case.

Giving the example of West Bengal Assembly, he said that during the previous government, Shubhendu Adhikari had complained several times against the MLAs who left BJP and joined TMC. In that case, no decision was taken by the Speaker of the Assembly for three, four and even five years. When the Assembly Speaker has not been able to take any decision for five years, then he cannot comment on what will happen in Delhi.

Jitendra Tiwari said that BJP had promised to give people the right to speak and criticize the government and people have got this right. People are also criticizing the work of the government and raising questions where the government is making mistakes. BJP does not consider those who criticize as its enemies, but listens to them and tries to improve itself.

Regarding the behavior of BJP workers, he said that the party has been trying since day one to ensure that its workers do not become like Trinamool Congress workers. The BJP has not yet ruled Bengal, so there is no example of the behavior of the BJP government in the state. In such a situation, workers may sometimes try to copy the working style of Trinamool Congress and sometimes CPIM. The party continues to exercise caution in this matter.

If even one or two workers behave differently from the party's set ideology, they are immediately explained to them and told that such behavior will not be accepted.

Jitendra Tiwari said for such people that they are doing this due to ignorance and they need to understand what transfer of power means. He said that when they are explained what not to do, they follow it.
