Women-men mixed cricket tournament will be organized for the first time in Sri Lanka. Mixed matches will be played in the 80-over format at the Sinhalese Sports Club (SSC) from November 14 to 29. The tournament is being organized under the name 'Test Twenty'.

160 players aged between 13 to 21 years will be selected from all over the world. All the players will be part of four different continental teams. There will be 40 players in a team. This will be the first time when girls and boys will play together in every team. The total score of the team will be decided by the runs of both.

The match will be played for one day and will be played in four innings.

According to the rules, there will be only 20 female and 20 male players in a team. Both red and white balls will be used in the match. Every team will get to play two innings. The match will be a one-day match.

Half of the matches will take place during the day and half at night.

The first 40 overs of the match will be played with a red ball in white attire during the day. After this, the last 40 overs will be played in colorful attire with white ball under the milky light of SSC. According to the release of the organizers, the runs scored in the first innings will continue to be added in the second innings also. The most special thing about this format is its 'parity rule'. Under this, the performance of girls and boys will decide each other's victory or defeat.

Many veteran names in the advisory board

Gaurav Bahirwani, founder of 'Test Twenty' and author of 'Parity Rule', said that the principle of equality will not be limited to just the rules of sports, but girls and boys will be given equal time in broadcasting also. The tournament's advisory board includes legendary cricketers like AB de Villiers, Matthew Hayden and Sir Clive Lloyd. Famous Delhi cricket coach Rajkumar Sharma will chair the 'Global Selection Committee', while Mike Fordham will be responsible for the conduct of the tournament.
