Chandigarh: Municipal commissioner Amit Kumar conducted a surprise inspection of the gaushala in Industrial Area, Phase-I, on Wednesday to evaluate cleanliness , fodder stock , and cattle welfare facilities.




During the visit, Kumar directed officials to ensure strict hygiene and upkeep across the premises, stressing that cattle comfort and health must remain a priority.




To improve transparency and management, the commissioner instructed staff to maintain updated inventory records of all incoming, stored, and utilised fodder. He urged officials to prevent supply shortages and maintain necessary care facilities without interruption.




Emphasising ongoing accountability, Kumar tasked the team with daily operational monitoring and noted that regular surprise inspections will continue across all civic gaushalas.
