Motorists on a major motorway faced long delays on Saturday morning following a crash. Two lanes were shut down on the M25 clockwise in Surrey between J7 (M23) and J8 (Reigate) following a collision, National Highways said.

In an update issued shortly after 9.30am, National Highways said there were 3.5 miles of congestion in the area and 30 minutes of delays on approach. Recovery, they added, was ongoing at the scene. All lanes were reopened before 10.30am, the organisation added.
