President-elect Donald Trump on Sunday announced GOP member of the Federal Communications Commission, lawyer Brendan Carr, as the next chair of the FCC. The 45-year-old was appointed as a FCC member by in 2017 by Trump. Carr is married to Machalagh Carr, a strategic counselor who previously served as the chief of staff to speaker, Kevin McCarthy."I am pleased to announce that Commissioner Brendan Carr will be Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC)," Donald Trump said on Sunday in a statement shared across social media.
